Storm Team is a group of people from all walks of life organized to rescue and rebuild after natural disasters.
We are fishermen, construction workers, business owners, students, creatives and average joe’s that care.
____________
Jesus is the heart of our foundation.
His life and teachings shape our programs, reflect the hearts of our volunteers, and guide how we love people. Our heart is for ALL people.
___________
We give it our all.
Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a privilege. Our goal is to be generous with our time, talents, and treasures. We are thankful for all God has given us, and want to honor him by making a difference with our life.
Our founder, Chad Simkins, would frequently travel to countries such as the Philippines, Panama, Haiti, Costa Rica, and South Africa. On these trips, he was shocked at the devastation caused by the combination of poverty and natural disasters.
A major storm or earthquake here in the U.S.A. is a heartbreaking tragedy, we’ve all seen the effects. These same types of disasters can cause devastation that lasts for generations in third world countries. There are very little government funds, or trained people to help rescue and rebuild. Orphans roam the streets, and disease runs rampant. That is why we started the Storm Team Foundation. We provide disaster relief to people in these beautiful countries after major storms and natural disasters.
Storm Team Foundation is a 100% volunteer driven organization. 100% of all funds donated to the Storm Team Foundation is used for emergency storm and disaster relief programs. We keep no administrative fees and our overhead is sponsored in full by donations from Storm Team Construction.
Churches and local ministries often know the landscape, culture, and needs of the community. So, we network with them to discover who is in critical need. When reaching those that are battling with the severe aftermath of natural disasters, we are conscious of the cultural and sometimes, language barrier. We aim not to just meet their essential needs, but to build lasting relationships. We care about their home life, their physical, mental, and spiritual well being.
After networking with local ministries, we go into the streets and communities to connect with people and find out their needs. Needs are primarily met through donor giving and sponsorships. That is where they need your help.
